About Hostpoint
Hostpoint sells web hosting, domains, mail with Cloud Office, a site builder called Sites, webshops, SSL and a managed Flex Server. It describes itself as the largest web hosting provider in Switzerland and says it manages more than 1.3 million domain names.
The hosting plans differ mainly on storage and how many domains you can point at them — 100 GB and 10 domains on Standard, 500 GB and 50 on Smart, 1,000 GB and 100 on Business. Business also moves you to what Hostpoint calls Gold support.
The honest list
What we love
＋Data genuinely stays in Switzerland, with certifications to show a client
＋30-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee stacked back to back
＋Phone support seven days a week in four languages
＋Domains are cheap: .ch at CHF 5 in year one, transfers free
＋Largest Swiss host, with 1.3 million domains under management
Watch out for
−No coupon or referral discount exists, whatever coupon sites claim
−CHF 15.90 a month is expensive next to international shared hosting
−No published uptime SLA percentage
−Prices are CHF only, including VAT, which complicates budgeting elsewhere
−Billing cycle is not stated on the plan comparison — confirm it at checkout
